Bárbara Menéndez Moreno: Collegiate Psychologist with a certificate of Health Qualification, Master in Clinical and Health Psychology, Technician in Music Therapy Model Benenzon (non-verbal therapies), Specialist in Psychotherapy and Psychodrama accredited by the Official College of Physicians and Psychologists of Madrid and Expert in Psychodramatic Psychotherapy with children and adolescents.
Throughout my professional career I have gone through different resources, such as the Hospital Niño Jesús de Madrid and the Hopistal Psychiatric Montreal with children and youth population, directed by the Doctor Acosta, predecessor of the day hospitals in Spain.
Among the collaborations I would highlight the Neuroscience, Trauma and Resilience Course of the Humanae Foundation and the Spanish Institute of Resilience, endorsed by the Official College of Physicians and the Spanish Society of Post-traumatic Stress Specialists (SETEPT). Another collaboration to note is the NOA program for Colleges and Institutes of the Community of Madrid for the prevention and performance of bullying and psycho-education workshops on drugs, subsidized by the COP.
In recent years I have been dedicated to the attention of teenagers of high sports competition at the Suanzes Tennis Club. I have combined this work by providing personal development programs in private clinics of Psychology and Speech Therapy, for children with attention deficit, hyperactivity, emotional self-regulation and counseling to parents.
Currently, I have been in private practice in Madrid for more than 6 years working with different problems where I combine active techniques of psychodynamic currents and cognitive-behavioral techniques. My line of action not only focuses on the symptomatology of the person but also on their capacity, vital situation and the context in which they develop their current life in order to enhance the greatest possible well-being, because I consider that “a brave and real change always it’s possible”.
